Organically farmed and dry grown, low cropping vines planted on own roots in 1997. Handpicked fruit and sorted, mainly destemmed with 15% whole bunches. Ambient yeast ferment with a gentle working over 19 days maceration. Pressed off to old oak and matured for 12 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 2048 bottles made.
Elegance and poise are the hallmarks of this wine. Aromas of darker pinot fruits with scents of crushed violets. Excellent length and structure with a seductiveness not often found in Australian pinot noir. Dark fruits and a certain finesse transfer to the palate which lasts long after you've swallowed the last drop.
